So after I wore this cardigan ALL weekend I figured that it needed to make an appearance on the blog!  Seriously–I wore it nonstop.  I had it on with this skirt and boots on Friday night for a friends surprise birthday party and then I wore it with jeans and these sneakers on Saturday when we went out to watch the basketball game at a bar and grab sushi after.

I had actually been looking for a longer black cardigan because I know how versatile they can be (especially as the months warm up some) and when I saw this one I knew it was perfect.  It was the material that sold me.  I mean, chenille?!  It feels truly amazing!  [wearing an xs, it does run big FYI]

Oh and these heels?  They are the BEST.  Under $100, can be dressed up or down, and they come in tons of colors.  I love the simplicity of them.

I am definitely beginning to get the Spring bug so get ready to see some warmer weather items on Weeeknd Wishing in the future.  && we’re actually headed to Miami on Friday too so I can’t wait to share that with you all!

Neutral Sweater Lovin!

Holy Moly!  Finally Fridayyyyy! This week was a doozy & I have to be honest–I am glad it’s the weekend again.  January is hard, right?  After the holidays are over and the Winter blues set in, it’s easy to feel like you are sick of everything in your closet. But, I will tell you what helps me.. good neutrals to wear.  I remember that was what got me through last Winter.  Stick to some good, neutral basics.  It may sound boring but I have found that sometimes that makes me happier than trying to do too much.

This sweater is just that!  It’s my favorite color–I can’t pass up a good grey–and the sleeves are just the cutest!  Obsessed with the bell sleeves lately.  ps, it also comes in black and I think that one would be perfect with a ponytail and some statement earrings.

It can be worn for a weekend date night with black denim or a mini skirt and OTK boots or toned down with dress pants and flats during the week for work.  Super versatile! [wearing a small]

&& I know I am a repeat offender with this jacket BUT I seriously love it.  [wearing an xs]

Here are a few other options that I’m loving at the moment.  They are all neutral and would also be easy to mix into several outfits.

I learned this time last year that February is the best time to snag some cashmere pieces.  I got a cream scarf and a grey wrap last year that I have used SO much this year.  So that will be the next thing I am on the lookout for.  I’ll keep you all posted in case you are in the market too.

Street Style with the perfect jacket–that’s on SALE!

I wore this look to dinner this past Saturday and I loved it so much that I put it back on on Sunday and we shot it so I could share with you all!  We went to our favorite pizza place to split a capicoal, cherry tomato & goat cheese pizza and have a sour beer and this look was perfect.

First off, I can’t say enough great things about this faux leather jacket you all!  I got mine during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale this past summer and I have actually worn it lots & lots since.  It’s the perfect piece for layering.  The quality is SO good for the price point–you’d never know it was under $100 if you saw it in person.  And the best news is that now it’s on sale too!  Sizes will go fast so don’t wait to snag one!  FYI, there are also 3 other color options.  [wearing an xs]

I know this sweatshirt is not appropriate for every event—but how cute?  “This wine is making me awesome”?!  I couldn’t resist.  (Even though when I pulled it out of the box Ethan just looked at me and said …really??? with an eye roll haha!) [wearing an xs/s]

Are you all as obsessed with the choker trend as I am?  I wear mine all.  the.  time.  This one is under $5.  Seriously!  It’s turned out to be such a good buy.  I got mine in the summer but the exact one is still available!  I should probably order a silver one actually…  I also just ordered this satin one in the mauve color.

If you order these jeans then remember to size up!  They are my new go-to but they definitely run small!  [wearing a 26×30]

Ok, now back to Vanderpump Rules.  Are you all hooked on Summer House?  How sneaky/smart was it of Bravo to just transition right into that new show on the Montauk episode?  Just another reality show (full of subsistence, haha) to add to my DVR list!

I feel like we have been fighting a battle with Mother Nature for weeks now!  It seems like every time Ethan and I have a day scheduled to go shoot photos it rains or it snows and we end up with a car full of outfits left on hangers.  However, I do have to say–it was SO nice to have a Saturday afternoon to be lazy.  It POURED down rain here all day so I brought my bedding in the living room and cuddled up on the couch and binge watched “Divorce”.   Just like a million other girls, I have been a loyal SJP fan for as long as I can remember so I left like I had to watch.  Have you all seen it?

But, I was super excited to be able to squeeze in some outfit pics between the drizzle on Sunday.  First up on the list to share with you all had to be this new coat–I’m obsessed!  I think it’s perfect for this time of year.  It’s super light weight but yet still warm so it’s a great transitional item to have in your closet.  The material is so soft and almost butter like && it comes in two other color options.  [wearing an xs]

The Only Winter Coat You Need

I am serious when I say this is the only Winter coat that you need.  I have LIVED in it this Winter and for the life of me I can’t understand why I didn’t have a long puffy coat until now.  They are SO warm.  You can see all the reasons why I love this specific one here but I will add one thing..  Since I’ve been wearing this coat bunches and bunches I have thrown it over lots of different things.  While the sleeves look really fitted, they are amazingly stretchy.  I am always surprised at how I can put a really thick sweater underneath and still feel like I can move my arms around just fine.  You could also try this one.  It’s similar and by the same brand.  && since sizing is low–I also loooooove this one! [wearing an xs]

Also worth mentioning–this grey top!  I know you can’t see a ton of detail on it from these pics (see my IG here & here for a better view) but it is just so darn soft.  I have bought several things in this material this year [see FAVE grey pants here] and I am hooked.  [wearing a medium, I sized up two sizes from my normal per the reviews]

Sooooo, it was 7 degrees when we took these pictures.  7!  I loaded up the car with several outfits and as soon as we took these on the way into the coffee shop I knew that was all we were going to get accomplished for the day.  It was just too darn cold!  && I will admit that these sneaks were not a great choice, haha.  BUT I love the velvet so I went for it anyways!  ps, they also come in black & navy.  I think they run small.  I got my regular size (7 1/2) but I wish I had sized up to an 8 honestly.
